Here is how i did this! As AB=DC then Angle C is equal to Half of Angle A (As obvious from the figure)
Angle C= x then Angle A = 2x
And Angle B = 2x (Given)
So 2x+2x+x=180 Degrees or 5x=180 Degrees or x=36 Degrees
so Angle A = 2x = 72 Degrees
