Two Splotches
Valerie puts two aysmmetric splotches of paint on a piece of paper in two different colors. Then she wants to cut the piece of paper into two pieces with one straight cut, such that there are equal areas of red on each side and equal areas of purple on each side.
Is this possible?
Clarification: The splotches are of no particular shape or area, and can be different areas from each other.
