When green light is passed through a red apple, yellow bananas, and the blue roses in a dark room, all the three absorbs the incident green light and reflects back black, green and black colors respectively.

Since all these objects are placed in a dark room there is no other light from an external source to be incident on them.

The red apple and the blue roses absorbs the green light and they reflects back black color which they are not able to absorb. On the other hand, yellow bananas are not able to absorb it,reflecting back the same.

Hence the objects appear to be black, green and black in colors respectively.

I suppose the colur of light reflected by an object is its colour..

Then red apple reflect red light; yellow banana reflect yellow light; blue rose reflect blue light...

And green constitute of yellow and blue light?

So should the yellow light reflected by yellow banana to appear yellow and blue is absorbed as usual; blue light reflected by blue rose to appear blue as usual while yellow is absorbed?

Yes that's right but it is only possible when white light is passed thru these objects. We observe that then naturally the red apple reflect red light; yellow banana reflect yellow light; blue rose reflect blue light.

When green light is passed their naturally reflecting color properties are changed.
