Viking 1- his ship moves by 2n island

Viking 2- his ship moves by 4n + 1 island

Viking 3 his ship moves by 4n + 3 island

Where n = natural no

If they coincide they will both lose the war and SKIP THE COMMONLY REACHED ISLAND.

TELL how many island were skipped?

(If a single Viking arrived at a island he is guarantee to win)

- all even covered(2 4 6....)

4n + 1. -1,5,6....]

4n + 3. -3,7,11....]

-all odd covered (1,5,9..)U(3,7,11...)

As 200 is. Anatural no. So it is having

Only

Odd and even no.s in it

So all odd and even are covered

So all the 200 islands are covered

For every natural number $n$ ,

$2n$ is an even number.

$4n+1$ is an odd number $1$ more than a multiple of $4$ .

$4n+3$ is an odd number $3$ more than a multiple of $4$ (correspondingly $2$ more than $4n+1$ ).

Thus, they will never coincide.
