Manish is now crossing a square field . He is very tired and he is sitting on a bench . He calls a sweeper nearby asks the diagonal of the field .The sweeper says,''I answer slipped of my mind but the area of the field is 24200 sq m''.Manish is now thinking if he is walking at a constant speed of 6.6 km/hr in the square field diagonally, what is the time taken to cross the field.Please help Manish.

s = vt.. s = diagonal of the square = 220 t = in terms of minutes

area of square = 24200 m² side of square = √24200 m = 110√2 m

side of diagonal = 110√2 × √2 = 110 × 2 m

speed = 6.6 km/hr = 6600 m/hr = 110 m/min

time = 110×2/110 = 2 min
