Let x = water evaporated, so (,98*20 -x)/(20 -x) = .95, or .05x = .6, and x = 12.Therefore 20 - 12 = 8. Ed Gray

It begins as 2 2 % not-water. Which is 0.02 20 k g = 0.4 k g 0.02*20kg=0.4kg

After it is 5 5 % not-water. 0.4 k g / 0.05 = 8 k g 0.4kg/0.05=\boxed{8}kg
