Wave optics tweaked.

Two coherent plane light waves of equal amplitude make a small angle ( α < < 1 ) \alpha << 1) with each other. They fall almost normally on a screen. If λ \lambda is the wavelength of light waves, the fringe width δ x \delta x of interference patterns of the two sets of waves on the screen is

s q r t ( α ) = ( α ) sqrt(\alpha)=\sqrt(\alpha)

λ s q r t ( α ) \frac{\lambda}{sqrt(\alpha)} λ 2 α \frac{\lambda}{2\alpha} 2 λ α \frac{2\lambda}{\alpha} λ 4 α \frac{\lambda}{4\alpha} λ α \frac{\lambda}{\alpha} 4 λ α \frac{4\lambda}{\alpha}
