Wave propagation 2

The above diagram shows the displacement of mediums at a particular instant when a sound wave propagates from medium I I to medium I I . II. The speed of the sound wave in medium I I is 400 400 m/s. Which of the following statements is correct?

Medium I I and I I II are conspecific gases, and ignore the reflection of the sound wave at the boundary surface between the two mediums.

a) The frequency of the sound wave in medium I I is 500 500 Hz.
b) The speed of the sound wave in medium I I is greater than that in medium I I II .
c) The temperature of medium I I is higher than that of medium I I II .

a) and b) b) only a) only a), b) and c)

Use the formula v=n×lambda. Frequency does not depend on medium rather wavelength depends In second medium wavelength <0.8.Hence velocity decreases (no change in frequency) Velocity depends on temperature

how can velocity depend on tempareture.

I think is that with higher temperature, there is more kinetic energy and thus velocity increases.
