suppose, L=lion; C=cow and D=deer \text{suppose, L=lion; C=cow and D=deer}

now, \text{now,}

L + 2 D = 360 L+2D=360 ..............................[1]

L + C = 1170 L+C=1170 ...............................[2]

by doing [2]-[1] ,we get, \text{by doing [2]-[1] ,we get,}

L + C L 2 D = 1170 360 L+C-L-2D=1170-360

or, C 2 D = 810 C-2D=810 ...........................[3]

and \text{and }

2 C + 2 D = 2160 2C+2D=2160 .........................[4]

by doing [3]+[4], we get that, \text{by doing [3]+[4], we get that,}

2 C + 2 D + C 2 D = 2160 + 810 2C+2D+C-2D=2160+810

or, C = 990 C=990

by putting this value in [2] and then [1],we get that, \text{by putting this value in [2] and then [1],we get that,}

D = 90 a n d L = 180 D=90 and L=180

so, L + C + D = 180 + 990 + 90 L+C+D=180+990+90 = 1260 \boxed{1260}

L = l i o n , D = d e e r , C = c o w L=lion,D=deer,C=cow

L + 2 D = 360 L+2D=360 \implies 1 \boxed{1}

C + L = 1170 C+L=1170 \implies 2 \boxed{2}

2 D + 2 C = 2160 2D+2C=2160 \implies 3 \boxed{3}

Solve for L L in terms of variable in 1 \boxed{1} and 2 \boxed{2} , then equate, we get

C 2 D = 810 C-2D=810 4 \boxed{4}

add 3 \boxed{3} and 4 \boxed{4} , we get

C = 990 C=990

It follows that,

L = 1170 990 = 180 L=1170-990=180

and

D = 360 180 2 = 90 D=\dfrac{360-180}{2}=90

Finally,

C + D + L = 990 + 90 + 180 = C+D+L=990+90+180= 1260 \boxed{1260}
