1 solution

Let b b and w w be the cost of the bottle and wine (in Euro), respectively.

b + w = 10 b+w=10 ( 1 ) \color{#D61F06}(1)

w = 8 + b w=8+b ( 2 ) \color{#D61F06}(2)

Substitute ( 2 ) \color{#D61F06}(2) in ( 1 ) \color{#D61F06}(1) . We have

b + 8 + b = 10 b+8+b=10

2 b + 8 = 10 2b+8=10

2 b = 2 2b=2

b = 1 \boxed{b=1}
