Alice and Bob are arguing over a mole of ideal gas.
Alice : If I heat this gas, then by Gay-Lussac's Law, its pressure must increase, and by Boyle's Law, its volume must decrease.
Bob : But Alice, I don't think you are right with that. If I heat the same gas, by Charles' Law, its volume must increase, and by Boyle's Law, its pressure must decrease.
What can you say about it?

No mention is made whether or not "this gas" is free to expand. Hence, it makes moot the application of these laws, i.e., which laws apply depends.
Furthermore, Gay-Lussac's law assumes a fixed volume, while Boyle's law does not. Boyle's law assumes a fixed temperature, while Charle's law does not.
