A hunter stepped out of his tent with his rifle in search of a bear. He walked 1 mile north but didn't find any bear. Then he walked 1 mile south and still didn't find any bear. At last, he walked 1 mile west to find a bear in front of his tent.

Is this Possible?

Yes, it really is. Let's say the hunter's tent was at point B , he walked one mile north to point X . Then he walked one mile south to point A and then he walked one mile west to his tent at the same point B .This situation is only possible only if point X was north pole. Every direction in north pole is south. Just look at the picture below:

So, the bear was a polar bear and the answer is White \color{#69047E}{\boxed{\text{White}}} .
