We have two glasses both filled partially with water. A violet pencil is kept in one and a red one in anathor. When looked at from an angle, what will you observe?

The violet pencil appears more bent than the red one. The red one appears more bent than the violet one Both pencils seem bent to the same extent Both become white pencils

Among all the colours of visible light violet has the lowest wavelength ( 4000 A r m s t r o n g ) (4000~Armstrong) and red light has the highestt wavelength ( 6500 A r m s t r o n g ) (6500~Armstrong) .

Also, Dispersion or various colours of visible light is inversely proportional to their wavelengths.

Therefore, violet will bend the most and red will bend the least. Hence, violet pencil appears more bent than red one.

It is because of the difference in wavelength, that the violet pencil will seem more bent.
