The triangle is equilateral so h = 4 2 2 2 = 2 3 h=\sqrt { 4^2-2^2 } =2\sqrt { 3 }

the height of the rectangle is h + 2 = 2 3 + 2 h+2=2\sqrt { 3 }+2

the width the rectangle is 6

the Area is 6 × ( 2 3 + 2 ) = 12 3 + 12 6\times \left( 2\sqrt { 3 } +2 \right) =12\sqrt { 3 } +12
