what is the distance of the brightest star Sirius?

Sirius is the brightest star in the night sky. the star is located at a distance of 2.6 parsec. 1 parsec is equal to 3,26 light years. One light year is the distance traveled by light in a year. If the light speed is 300.000 km/seconds, what is the distance of the star in kilometers?

7.5 × 1 0 13 7.5 \times 10^{13} 7.5 × 1 0 11 7.5 \times 10^{11} 8 × 1 0 11 8 \times 10^{11} 8 × 1 0 13 8 \times 10^{13}

Yo,

as you all know 1 light year ~ 9.461 x 10^(15) m ~ 9.4605284 x 10^(12) km,

therefore, the distance of Sirius Star is ,

= 2.6 x 3.26 x ( 9.4605284 x 10^(12) ) = 8.0 x 10^(13)

thanks ah...

s=vt , t=2.6x3.26x365x24x60x60 (in second) S= ~8.0x10^13

S= 2,6 parsec (3,26 light year/1 parsec) ((9460,8x10^9 km)/ Light year) ~ 8,0x10^13
