We just need to find the modulo 10 residue. In other words, the last digit of the product will the product of the last digits.

1375 2486248 5 8 0 ( mod 5 ) 1375\cdot 2486248\equiv 5\cdot 8\equiv 0\quad \left( \text{mod 5} \right)

The last digit does not get added ,so 5 × 8 =40
