You get the answer by subtracting the first number from the second, then the second from the third, then the third from the fourth, then the fourth from the fifth, then the fifth from the sixth, like so:
Doing this to the first two numbers gets you 11-8=3. Then you would write "3" in the arrows below the two numbers, and so on and so forth.
