Which balloon?

picture credit: Adobe stock picture credit: Adobe stock We have two balloons called x \color{#20A900}{\boxed{x}} and z \color{#3D99F6}{\boxed{z}} . The x \color{#20A900}{\boxed{x}} balloon has been filled by Hydrogen gas and also z \color{#3D99F6}{\boxed{z}} balloon has been filled by helium gas.

We have released them from a fixed distance.

Which one will be raise down more slowly than other else?

Assumptions:

  • Neglect the air resistance.

  • There is no wind.

  • They have been filled with a specific volume of their gases.

z \color{#3D99F6}{\boxed{z}} x \color{#20A900}{\boxed{x}} Both of them None of them

The x \color{#20A900}{\boxed{x}} balloon has been filled by Hydrogen gas.

The z \color{#3D99F6}{\boxed{z}} balloon has been filled by Helium gas.

The atomic mass of Hydrogen is less than Helium .

Fact: Whatever the mass of an object be less then it can be keep floating more.

\color{#3D99F6}{\therefore} the answer is x \color{#20A900}{\boxed{x}} .
