Simply by Hyperconjugation III is the correct answer

but III has more alpha hydrogens than I, so it should have more hyper conjugating structures.

||| is the only one which which does not have a conjugated system (adjacent pi bonds- a major reason of stability) .

You should also see the extent of conjugation. In structure III it is nil.
