Notice that the Black king has no legal moves so all we have to do is to check the Black King with a protected piece or from a square where Black is not attacking.

The following choices would accomplish the objective:

    1. Qh7# (The Queen is protected by the Rook on h1)
    1. Qh8# (Again, the Queen is protected by the Rook on h1)
    1. Ne7# (Notice that there is no pieces that are guarding/attacking e7)

As such, there are 3 \boxed{3} ways to checkmate the Black king in one move.
