Jane, Jace, Jake & June go to Jane's house for Jane's birthday party & a sleepover. Before everything starts Mrs.Keller (Jane's Mom) is shocked to find someone has eaten the whole cake. Mrs Keller asks each one of them and they give the following replies:-
Jane : I have not eaten it. June ate it.
Jake : I have not eaten it. I do not know who ate it.
Jace : I saw who ate it. It was Jane.
June : I have not eaten it. I do not know who ate it.
Mrs.Keller knows that only the person who ate the cake lies. The liar lies in both of his/her statements. Who ate the cake?

People that tell the truth wouldn't contradict each other.
Since Jane and Jace contradict each other, one of them is lying, meaning June and Jake both tell the truth and didn't eat the cake. But Jane says that June did, so she is lying. That makes Jane the one who ate the cake.
Another way, if you take Jane and June, then Jace and Jack tell the truth, and from Jace we know Jane ate the cake.
