From the first fact, we have: Dutch ---- Brazilian ------ German. From the third, we deduce that Edson ----- German ------- Adam which means The Brazilian is either Edson or Adam. From the last fact, we have: American ------ Bruno -----Dutch. Now we can join the first string we have created with this to get a complete string:
American ----- Bruno -----Dutch -------Brazilian ------- German. We note that the Brazilian and Bruno have to join the Dutch at different ends as we already established that the Brazilian must either be Adam or Edson and NOT possibly Bruno. Do also observe that in the complete string we have created, there is only ONE nationality left out that is Spanish which means Bruno must be Spanish.
We also established that the Brazilian is either Edson or Adam. Likewise, the American is either Adam or Edson. Since we already know that Bruno is the Spanish and considering the second fact, Edson must be beside the Spanish who is Bruno. The only possibility for this is that Edson is the American since the American is adjacent to Bruno or the Spanish. This leaves Adam to be the Brazilian. Since the American (Edson) is in between Carlos and the Spanish (Bruno), it follows that Carlos is the German. This leaves D a n i e l to be the Dutch.
