If only one person is lying and the other two are telling the truth, which one of these people actually took the phone?

Suspects:
Sally : "I took the phone."
Billy : "I took the phone."
Barry : "I only took the phone if Sally didn't."

  • Either Sally or Billy is lying since they both cannot take the phone.
  • That means Barry is telling the truth
  • This also implies that Barry hasn't taken the phone, hence Sally did take it

@Brilliant Mathematics or @Rhea Kavuru , please change the options to multiple choice because A) it does not make sense for numbers to be entered even though you have specified because we can have MCQ boxes. and B) since there are only three people, one can enter the three numbers one after the other to guarantee a correct answer
