Who Took the Hook and Bracelet? Who Did?

Logic Level 1

A Japanese ship was sailing. One day, the captain took a shower. He left his hook and bracelet on the table. When he was done, his stuff were gone! He told his crew to come to him. The suspects were the Cook, the Engineer, and the trainer. The Cook was making sandwiches for the crew. The Engineer saw that the flag was up-side-down, and went up to fix it. The trainer was running around the ship. Who took his stuff?

The reason is because the Japanese flag 🇯🇵 is just a circle on the white square. Therefore, it would look the same upside down

Here is what it would look like if it was the right way up:

And here is what it would look like when upside down or rotated 180 degrees:

The flag of the Japanese flag looks the same when flipped. The Engineer was correcting the flag, but nobody knows if a Japanese Flag is up-sidedown.

Is there a need to fix the Japanese flag? Doesn't it look the same upside down as it does right side up?
