Suppose there is a tank with 45 mm or armor. An Armour Piercing shell is fired at the tank, but it strikes the armor at a 50 degree angle. The AP shell has 5 degrees of normalization and can get through 60 mm of armor. Will the tank getting hit survive?

The shell is hitting 45 mm of armour at 50 degrees, but there is 5 degrees of normalization, so the adjusted amount is 45 mm of armour at 45 degrees. Sin(45) is equal to 2 , so the effective armor thickness against this shell is ~64 mm. The shell can only go through 60 mm of armor, so the tank will survive.
