( x − 6 ) 2 (x - 6)^{2} + ( x + 9 ) 2 (x + 9)^{2} = 17

x 2 x^{2} - 12x + 36 + x 2 x^{2} + 18x + 81 = 17

2 x 2 2x^{2} + 6x + 100 = 0

x 2 x^{2} + 3x + 50 = 0

x 2 x^{2} + 3x + 9 4 \frac{9}{4} = - 191 4 \frac{191}{4}

* because any number's square has to be a non-negative number, so there are no real solutions :)
