A cylinder contains L of gas under the pressure of atm. The external pressure is also atm. Now, the gas is heated slowly with the cylinder's piston sliding freely outward to maintain the pressure of the gas close to atm. Suppose that the heating continues until a final volume of L is reached. Calculate the work done on the gas.
