1 day they can craft: 1/6 + 1/8 = 7/24 (table)

7 tables can be craft in: 7 ÷ 7/24 = 24 (days)

Since Andy can craft $1$ table in $6$ days, in $1$ day he will craft $\frac{1}{6}$ of a table.

Similarly, Benjamin can craft $\frac{1}{8}$ of a table in $1$ day.

Hence, when both of them work together, in $1$ day, they will be able to craft $\frac{1}{6}+\frac{1}{8}=\frac{8}{48}+\frac{6}{48}=\frac{14}{48}=\frac{7}{24}$ of a table.

To craft $7$ tables, the number of days needed is simply $7\div\frac{7}{24}=7\times\frac{24}{7}=\boxed{24}$ , and we are done.

Here we can use distance formula i.e distance=rate*time

here we take job=distance

total job or distance = man"a" portion + man"b" portion

Therefore 1=man"a"rate * time + man"b"rate * time

man"a"rate=1/6 and man"b"rate =1/8

therefore 1=(1/6) t + (1/8) t

solving for T ---> 1 = t/6 + t/8 1 =14 t/48 48 = 14 t Therefore t=24/7

This t is time required to make one table there to make seven tables

time required will be 24/7 * 7=24 days

A completes 1/6 work in one day and B completes 1/8 work in one day. Working together, they complete 1/6+1/8=14/48 work in one day hence to complete 7 tables they will take 7÷(14/48)=24 days.

Andy can craft 4 table in 24 days as 4 6=24 days Benjamin can craft 3 tables in 24 days as 3 8=2 4days now finally both can craft 7 tables in 24 days

Let person A makes a table in 6 days, and B in 8 days. Two persons and 7 tables are to be made. Therefore both will not make same number of tables.

Since A is faster let him make 4 tables in 24 days (6 x 4=24) and 3 tables will be made by B, will take equal time 24 days( 8 x 3=24). Since both are working simultaneously in 24 days 4+3 =7 tables are made.

Let's call them as worker A and worker B.
Working speed of worker A = 1 table/6 days
Working speed of worker B = 1 table/ 8 days
If they work together, their combined speed = 1/6 + 1/8
= (8+6)/48
= 14/48
= 7/24
Therefore, they can make 7 tables in 24 days.

1 table is crafted in ( (a b)/(a+b) ) days. here , a = 6 and b = 8; so 7 tables are crafted in (7 ( (a*b)/(a+b) ) ) days

calculation : 7 * 6 *8/(6+8)

$\frac{1}{x}=(\frac{1}{6}+\frac{1}{8})\cdot \frac{1}{7}=\frac{1}{24}$

For one craft

1/6 + 1/8 = 7/24

For 7 tables

(7/X) = 7/24

X=24 days

1/6+1/8=7/x;(4+3)/24=7/x;7x=(24)(7);x=24

One can craft 1/6 portion in a day. other can craft 1/8 portion in a day. Together they can craft 7/24 portion in a day. 7/24 portion can be crafted in 1 day 1 portion can be crafted in 24/7 days 7 portion can be crafted in 24*7/7 days =24 days (Ans)

Benjamin will take 8 hrs to craft one table - so for 3 tables he takes 24 days. In the mean while other person will take just 6 hrs to craft a table so he will complete 4 times in the available time of 24 days. As a total 7 tables will be completed in 24 days.

Andy can craft 1 table for 6 days,while Benjamin for 8 days for the same table. 1/x=1/6+1/8; where x is the total no. of days consumed when they craft together for a single table. thus, 1/x=14/48; 1/x=7/24; x=24/7; therefore,they can craft a single table for 24/7 days, and if they'll craft 7 tables; it would be 7*(24/7) which is 24 days.

7 tables can be craft in 3*8 = 24 day

in a day they complete (1/6)+(1/8) = (7/24) chairs so in fours days they ll finish 1 chair completely and 1/6th of a new chair. so after 24 days they ll finish 7.

in one day they can craft a table =1/6+1/8=14/48 so they will craft 7 tables in days =48/24*(7)=24

1st one make 4 tables in 24 and 2nd also make 3 in same 24 days

Worker Andy can craft a table in 6 days and worker Benjamin can craft a table in 8 days. When they work together, Andy will craft 4 tables in 4 x 6 = 24 days. And worker Benjamin will craft 3 tables in 3 x 8 = 24 days.

How did I find that! Actually I’m not expert in Math, so sometime I leave the rules and think on my own way. ;)

first A=6 and b=8 then 8/6=4/3 there fore A=3 and B=4 then taking average 3+4/2=3.5 and 3.5X7=24.5 using scientific notetion 24.5=24 days
