Everything wrong:

  • The tube in the second container (left to right) is positioned incorrectly. It should be positioned like the third container (left to right) so that the gas can flow through the right track.
  • There should be some cotton sprayed with N a O H NaOH and phenolphthalein covering the top of the erlen in order to avoid the poisonous gas ( C l 2 Cl_2 ) getting out of the erlen into the atmosphere.
