Well, this was my second experiment. I wanted to see how many upvotes I receive in algebra level 1 problems. In the last one I got 21. People who post solutions to level 5 problems never receive that many upvotes :(
4 ( 4 x ) + 2 x 1 6 x + 2 x 1 8 x x = 7 2 = 7 2 = 7 2 = 1 8 7 2 = 4
A small mistake at the second last line. It should be x=72/18, not 72/4.

4 ( 4 x ) + 2 x = 7 2 1 6 x + 2 x = 7 2 1 8 x = 7 2 Now, on dividing both the sides by 1 8 , we get: x = 1 8 7 2 Therefore, x = 4
