Hi,
I find that I struggle with 3D geometry for some reason, and would like to find some 3D modeling software or something that's easy to pick up, and that will allow me to play with 3D shapes to help develop my understanding of them.
Are there any recommendations in this area?
I've not had luck searching Google (maybe I'm searching the wrong terms) -- everything I've found is broken math help websites that use flash, and even then they were just demonstrations, not what I wanted. On the other side is tools like Blender which is way overpowered (and a lot of effort to learn) for what I want.

Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.
