A search option

i know many people already had posted this discussion earlier....but i want to bring it in light again...... :)

how about introducing a search button also.....after soooooo many brilliant changes.....on our favourite brilliant org :)

it will really help us to find out those buddies whom we want to search for....and look out how much they are ahead of us..... :) :p ;)

seriously just a search option only , not more then that..... juz for the view of one's profile....and their levels. :)

  Easy Math Editor

This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

When posting on Brilliant:

  • Use the emojis to react to an explanation, whether you're congratulating a job well done , or just really confused .
  • Ask specific questions about the challenge or the steps in somebody's explanation. Well-posed questions can add a lot to the discussion, but posting "I don't understand!" doesn't help anyone.
  • Try to contribute something new to the discussion, whether it is an extension, generalization or other idea related to the challenge.
  • Stay on topic — we're all here to learn more about math and science, not to hear about your favorite get-rich-quick scheme or current world events.

Riya,

Currently there is no search bar. That won't be forever, you can functionally search the discussions by clicking the link on the right below the rules and guidelines. That link takes you to a google search of "site:brilliant.org/discussions" just add your search query after the pre-entered text and you can search Brilliants discussions.

I meant to add, that the ability to search other user's on Brilliant is in the works, and will come with other major changes to profiles, personal statistics, etc...

sir, i wanted to say that there should be a search option where we can type the name of the users and can see their profiles to see their points and levels :) b/w the search toolbar in the discussions is an awesome change :)
