With the increasing demand of problems solutions are not posted to that great extent . If the number of up votes to a solution would be some function of rating people would compete to give their solution . I feel that posting a solution is a very important part of brilliant. If you like my suggesion then please reshare it . Do take part in this discussion and express your views as a comment. Another good idea is to have bonus for giving solutions. Timing is a very crucial part required for Olympiads and entrance exams throughout the world . Problems once seen should be timed until a person solves it . In this way students can practice doing questions with a pressure of amount of time. The time should also should be related to the rating of a person . It would be very gratefull of the brilliant staff if they could comment on this note .

This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

Moghe, I'm not interested in practicing for Olympiads and entrance exams, so I wouldn't want to have to hurry to solve problems. This can be a feature provided to users, but only as an option. You know, like the "Practice" section in Brilliant.
Other than that, rated problems definitely should have posted solutions so that after an user blows the problem, he/she can go check out how or why it was blown. I think votes and bonuses should be for unrated problems, as part of the selection process for conversion to rated problems.

Personally I believe it would be better , if brilliant had more competitve environment to it. There are plenty of books if you just want solve problems.

I can't have a dialogue with stuff in books and try making up problems for others to try. What's wrong with the idea that such a "competitive environment" is an available option? Why must all Brilliant users compete? I don't feel like having to compete. I do some of my best thinking when I am not trying to compete.
Yes optional is an even better idea so that it doesn't affect every one. Ones interested can apply others won't.
