Access to Questions

Hello world. Just wanted to ask, do i have access to all problem sets in the skills workout, because some skills for me, won't open and after i complete a skill instead of going to the next skill it skips to one further down. Is that a bug or a feature, or am i missing something.

This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

When posting on Brilliant:

  • Use the emojis to react to an explanation, whether you're congratulating a job well done , or just really confused .
  • Ask specific questions about the challenge or the steps in somebody's explanation. Well-posed questions can add a lot to the discussion, but posting "I don't understand!" doesn't help anyone.
  • Try to contribute something new to the discussion, whether it is an extension, generalization or other idea related to the challenge.
  • Stay on topic — we're all here to learn more about math and science, not to hear about your favorite get-rich-quick scheme or current world events.

Hello Shallom!

You should have access to everything on Brilliant. Can you point me to which skills were behaving like that?

I think there are some instances when you will skip a skill after completing one, when we do not have problems in the next skill. If you are ever clicking on a skill and nothing is opening, then that is a bug

Not all skills have problems attached to them because Brilliant is trying to expand to have a community driven wiki that contains explanations for how to understand every skill in math. In some places we do not yet have practice problems set up in a skill yet, but we do have a place for our community members to contribute an article of how to use that skill, even before we have problems attached to it. It looks like you have been on a number theory binge. Some of those skills do not yet have problems attached.

Hi Peter,

Yes, i have been trying to conquer the number theory skill sets. But for some reason after completing the prime factors set, it would skip over the perfect squares set, and go on to the application of divisibility rules, and when i clicked on the perfect squares set it wouldn't open. Same for a lot of the skill sets in number theory, when I click on them i just get the blue circular load icon, but nothing opens, although if i click on the wiki icon, the wiki page does open.

So would i just assume there just aren't questions for those skill sets yet?

Yup, no problems in those skills yet...but they will come! We will fix that behavior so it is more clear what is going on.

If you are digging the number theory, be sure to check out the great river of problems people have written. You can adjust the difficulty level and find all sorts of good stuff.
