This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

When posting on Brilliant:

  • Use the emojis to react to an explanation, whether you're congratulating a job well done , or just really confused .
  • Ask specific questions about the challenge or the steps in somebody's explanation. Well-posed questions can add a lot to the discussion, but posting "I don't understand!" doesn't help anyone.
  • Try to contribute something new to the discussion, whether it is an extension, generalization or other idea related to the challenge.
  • Stay on topic — we're all here to learn more about math and science, not to hear about your favorite get-rich-quick scheme or current world events.

Just study SST and English(If you are not good) do class 9th and 10th ncert books thoroughly( Do science too) Buy RS agarwal(average level) and +Cengage general mental ability( it has high quality IQ problems - siimilar to difficulty level of this year IQ)
Do this , you will definitely get selected :)

Shivang Jindal - 8 years ago

Well, in my case, I have my SST and Biology way too weak. So I would be paying a special attention to them. Math and Science are to be prepared meanwhile continuously.

And one request from me, PLEASE, WHENEVER THE APPLICATION FORM ARRIVES, PLEASE POST THE LINK IN A DISCUSSION. It would be really nice of you. :)

Well, I am not giving NTSE this year, but still can give you advice about how to prepare for it. You must simply revise the concepts in science and maths from previous classes, and study the topics in present class throughly. Social science is a bit tough (especially for me). So social science has to be given a bit extra focus. For IQ questions, just solve everything you come across anywhere, posed by anyone, for topics of higher classes in science and maths just brush up the NCERT books online on its offical site. Note:- The main reason for me not giving NTSE this year is solely, social science and biology.
