In view of the fact that Brilliant.org has been unable to cope with the growing popularity and the subsequent prize price rise I'd like to suggest an alternative. Even the people in lower levels would like to have some prize to solve problems for. An alternative is that brilliant.org provides certificates. A good certificate can be a better momento than a lanyard and the cost of mailing it would be affordable for brilliant.. What do you think????

This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

And the certificate's price could even be adjusted to what level problems you are at. That way, it's within everyone's reach equally.
Hello all,
This seems like a popular idea. Certificates will be incorporated in some shape or form, into the next iteration of the points exchange.
imho, great idea :)
Interesting thought...
i support
I wholeheartedly support this kind of idea, perhaps someday these certificates may even have some weight behind them for university applications, to help differentiate oneself from others.
Good thoght bro.But what can you possibly gain from the certificates? What will they certify?That you've earned X amount of points?

Yeah. Exactly. The points system is just a way of seeing how much you've been able to do while with brilliant. It says, "You've solved a lot of challanging problems. Congratulations." For some, it's better than just doing problems out of a book.

Which would turn Brilliant into some sort of an international standard, not just a math and physics site. Good thing actually. :)
Yeah but see,solving many problems(as you've said "...solved a lot of ...") of level 1 isn't equivalent to solving a few problems of level 4 or 5.How can you classify this?

Well.nice idea.I support you but please express what do you want them to certify-amount of points or your levels.
i also support,it was a good idea
great idea;i support;Interesting thought;nice idea;;;
