An error in the link to the answer to one of your problems posted on Facebook.

On 1-24-15 at 11 PM you posted a problem asking for value of [(1-i)/(1+i)] to the 112th power. Following the link to the web site, I found the power in the problem changed to 148th. When I entered my answer, the web site jumped me to a completely different problem and indicated my answer was wrong. This is not the first problem this has happened with. Please make sure your links are correct.

Hi Verlen, For links back into the quizzes, we store your progress that you made and show you the set that you were working on. As a result, you might end up seeing a different problem, though it is still in the same skill.

If you incorrectly answered the last problem, then it will display that you are incorrect.

That.s not what happened. I was on a PARTICULAR problem on the web site. I entered my answer in the space provided for THAT problem. When I hit enter, I was taken to the answer for ANOTHER problem, and was told my answer was wrong.

I believe you are referring to the Facebook post, which asks you to calculate (1i1+i)112 \left( \frac{ 1-i} { 1+i} \right) ^ { 112 } .

Following the link to the web site, I found the power in the problem changed to 148th.

Clicking on that Facebook post you landed in the practice section of "Complex Numbers Problem Solving - Basic". We asked you to calculate (1i1+i)148 \left( \frac{ 1-i} { 1+i} \right) ^ { 148 } . We are aware that in the practice section, you could be shown a slightly different problem.

When I entered my answer, the web site jumped me to a completely different problem and indicated my answer was wrong. This is not the first problem this has happened with. Please make sure your links are correct.

Thanks for reporting this issue. This is the first time I have heard of it, and I will need to look into what's happening.

Can you provide more details about what happened?
Do you recall which problem you were shown? Can you confirm if it is a problem regarding 7167+16 \frac{ 7 - \sqrt{ -16} } { 7 + \sqrt{- 16 } } ?
Did this happen on another problem where you did not come from facebook into the practice section?

The problem was (1-i)/(1+i) to the 148th; the answer it jumped to was for (7-SR-16)/(7+SR-16).
