Any upcoming competitions where you are located? (till end of 2013)
I know that as a student, it can be hard to be aware of all the various competitions or science fairs that are happening, especially over a wider geographical region. I think we should help each other out, and be aware of various events that could be interesting. By keeping others in the loop about such events, we can all benefit from the greater exposure.
In the comments below, I have listed some geographical regions (International, US, India, Asia, Brazil, UK) If there are events in those regions that you think others may be interested in, please add them as a comment to the relevant region. If you do not see your region, feel free to start a comment, and then add on the events underneath it.
If you find this useful, let us know and we'd create quarterly (or even monthly) updates for your easy reference. For now, let's keep it to the end of 2013, to increase the relevance to others.

National Science Talent Search Examination (NSTSE) and Unified International English Olympiad (UIEO) conducted by Unified Council. National Cyber Olympiad (NCO), National Science Olympiad (NSO), International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO) and International English Olympiad (IEO) conducted by Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF). International Informatics Olympiad (iio), International Olympiad of Mathematics (iOM), International Olympiad of Science (iOS) and International Olympiad of English Language (iOEL) conducted by Silverzone. All India Maths Science Talent Search Exam (MSTSE) and Maths Talent Search Exam (MTSE). There are many more online quizzes such as that of LearnNext and quizmaster Derek O' Brien's Challenges on Facebook and Twitter.
Latest NTSE is coming for 10th students. Gear up, pull up your socks, go!
There's RMO (Regional Mathematics Olympiad)....anyone from class 9 to 12 can apply......and class 8 is exceptional.....Registrations have already started...and it is conducted on December 1st but in case of Mumbai province....there is a pre-RMO....so they cannot register now for the exam..(sorry for not explaining that clearly).And there are: National Science Olympiad (15th and 28th November 2013), International Mathematics Olympiad (5TH and 19th December), National Computer Olympaid ( 4th Oct)hurry up, Indian English Olympaid (16th and 30th Jan 2014). These are the ones we should mainly prefer....

USAMTS (USA Mathematical Talent Search) - a proof-based competition broken up into three rounds of five problems each. Students are given at least a month to work on the problems and write up solutions. Prizes like textbooks and Mathematica licenses are offered to those who score above a certain threshold. In addition, a sufficiently high score can qualify the student for AIME, although normal qualification through the AMC 10 is much more common.

Yea, if you score high enough on USAMTS to qualify for AIME, then there is no reason that you couldn't qualify for the AIME through AMC unless you had a spectacularly bad day. Even if you are worse at timed competitions than otherwise, the disparity in difficulty between the two competitions is so great that I can't imagine it happening.
Cool I actually didn't know you could qualify for AIME through USAMTS :D

Science Bowl is a nation-wide competition like quiz bowl or jeopardy where four teammates (with an alternate if desired) compete against another team of four players. A moderator reads various questions from the categories Life Science, Physical Science, Earth and Space Science, Energy, Mathematics, and General Science (MS topics) or Biology, Chemistry, Astronomy, Energy, Mathematics, and General Science (HS topics). There are two categories of questions: Toss Up and Bonus. Toss Up questions are read, and if any team member on your team gets the toss up question correct, their team only will have a chance to answer the bonus question for that corresponding toss up question. Toss up questions are worth less than bonus questions. The moderator will also read the answer form, multiple choice or short answer. Each of these response types will have different rules regarding accepting correct answers. Team members are not allowed to communicate at any time during the round except during a bonus question. The captain and captain only answers the bonus questions. Any school can join as long as you register with your regional coordinator. Students are limited to 3 years of MS Science Bowl and 4 years of HS Science Bowl. A regional competition will be hosted in your school's vicinity, and the coordinator will probably notify you well ahead of time. The top team at each regional competition will get to go to an all expenses paid trip to Washington D.C. for a 5 day, 4 night national competition.

Yeah I like Science Bowl.
Science Bowl is in fact awesome. It's like Quizbowl / academic challenge, except more catered to STEM topics.
Math Madness is also a competition hosted by AMC (thought it has already started, I believe). It is for high schools and some talented middle schools. Here is an AoPS topic about it.
PClassic - algorithmic programming competition held at UPenn PicoCTF - computer security/hacking event held online for high school students in the USA
Other than the fact that most regions have their ARML (http://www.arml.com) tryouts by the end of the year or at the latest January, people in the Chicago region may be interested in submitting a project to the QED Math Symposium (http://qed.wpcp.org/). It is like a Science Fair but focuses on math projects. Anyone can join and there are prizes for every participant! The website has not been updated in a while but word on the street is that projects will be due around the end of November. Keep an eye on the website for more details, which should be coming soon.
The AMC 8 is also before the end of the year. Simple 25-question multiple choice test; no penalty for guessing. Last year MathPath was giving out scholarships to people with perfect scores on this (I got one that I declined myself).

Vietnam Math Olympiad VMO upcoming in about 4 months
BdMO's around December-January, but I can't say for sure that it'll fall in 2013 this time.
SEAMC (South East Asian Math Competition) and NEAMC (North East Asian Math Competition)
for 2014 SEAMC will be hosted in Vietnam and NEAMC will be hosted in Nanjing

You can participate in NMO (check sms.edu.pk) with problems very similar to the ones seen over here. Unfortunately the last date for registration was September 25, 2013. If you've missed this one then by all mean take part in NMTC (http://win.nstc.edu.pk/NSTC/registration10.asp). Both of these competitions select team to be selected for the international maths olympiad. The earlier you know about them the better.

Also, most USA competition are provided in Canada as well. Just have to find a location that provides it

There is the Senior Maths Challenge at the start of November which follows on to the BMO1 and 2 before the end of the year. This is the beginning of the selection process for the UK IMO team and is aimed at years 12 and 13 but is open to younger students.
The British Physics Olympiad round 1 is on 15th November (entries by 6th November) which is the start of the selection process for the UK International Physics Olympiad team.
There is the Hans Wyoda competition, though that may only be a few schools. There is also the Weizmann safe cracking competition.

There's also IMPACT: Inter-High Math and Physics Competition on November (to be held in UP Diliman). :)
And the UP Math Wizard of course. Always held on the Saturday closest to Feb 14. For college students only though.

Proofathon is a new proof-based online math Olympiad open to any and all participants. As it is designed as an introduction to proof based mathematical competition, problems range in difficulty from very easy to near IMO level over a variety of mathematical topics. The Hungarian website Kömal runs maths, physics and informatics competitions from September to May year with new problems posted monthly.
The International Physics Online Olympiad (IPhOO) is an initiative similar to that of the OMO, NIMO, and Proofathon, except it is the very first such physics competition. Our website has basic information about who we are and what we do. Our Facebook Page is currently running a competition where we post problems 2-3 times per week and people who answer questions get points. The first to 100 points gets a free IPhOO T-shirt.
Our very first contest was a huge success and many people who participated found out about us at Brilliant, since I talk a little bit about the IPhOO here.
Contests 2 and 3 have already been scheduled and those who register on our website get updates about Contests. The contest is free for all and quite frequently held. So if you like Physics and don't see enough online to do, the IPhOO is for you.

CSAW CTF - computer security/hacking event held online for anybody in the world. Just like PicoCTF mentioned in the USA thread, it does require problem-solving. However, the problem-solving strategies are different from those used in math or physics competitions, so it's interesting to participate in.

Dude math olympiad tests your understanding of your basic math skills. So keep solving various problems in various methods and formulate new problems yourself. Other than solving problems, start thinking math in every posible scenario. Brilliant is a beautiful platform for this. Explore various approaches people use here to solve problems.
