Ability to delete our own discussions?

Hey there should be options to delete our own discussions because accidentally while creating if there is a flaw and u can't change it then its a problem. So, i request that if a user creates a discussion and wants to delete it then he should be able to do it. Sorry for the wrong heading or title. I too clicked start discussion accidentally and couldn't change it. So, @Peter . Please create an option like that.

  Easy Math Editor

This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

When posting on Brilliant:

  • Use the emojis to react to an explanation, whether you're congratulating a job well done , or just really confused .
  • Ask specific questions about the challenge or the steps in somebody's explanation. Well-posed questions can add a lot to the discussion, but posting "I don't understand!" doesn't help anyone.
  • Try to contribute something new to the discussion, whether it is an extension, generalization or other idea related to the challenge.
  • Stay on topic — we're all here to learn more about math and science, not to hear about your favorite get-rich-quick scheme or current world events.

agreed.... :)

Rather, I suggest you to even remove the feature of deleting comments. I don't think it's a good idea to give the users the ability to delete their own comments. People might use this feature to troll others. Most good communities doesn't have this feature because of its abuse by users. I am not trying to say that people here will abuse this feature but not everyone is the same. We've had encounters with trolls before too but they haven't grown to large numbers in this place but that won't take long as you all know. Instead, the users can "report" their comment if they want it to get deleted. And I hope the "Report" feature comes out soon.

k what u suggested, thats a good one but still at the time of creation even if u accidentally create it without completing there should be a time within which we can undo then completely post it. because reporting it then recieving the approval later after they view it is time consuming.
