Autosave Solutions

Spent hours writing a solution and then ......
Your laptop battery dies and your charger is in the other room?
Your fat finger accidentally hits outside the modal and it blinks out of existence?
A teacher confiscated your phone because you shouldn't be using it in class?
District 5 revolted and took out the hydroelectric plant powering the capitol?

Worry no longer! Brilliant now autosaves your solution!

When you start typing a solution, and (accidentally) exit the page / modal box, your edits would still be present when you return! We currently save drafts for 48 hours, though let us know if there is a preference to save drafts for a longer period of time. You will still need to hit the save button in order for your changes to be updated on the site.

Note: This only works on your local browser. IE If you were editing a solution and your phone dies (or gets confiscated), you have 48 hours to get it back.

We will also be developing out auto-save for other parts of the site. We are currently testing it on the Wiki page, and will add it to Problems / Notes if there is a demand for it.

Easy Math Editor

This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

When posting on Brilliant:

We are working on fixing the "additional \\" bug. It now works for most people, though we're still testing to ensure we got all cases. I will update this comment when it has been fully fixed.

I have deleted the comments to streamline this conversation.

Update: We have now fixed this bug. Please inform me if you still get this issue.

Thank u . It was a very great help at least for app users . Now only one last problem . Can u do something to make it easy in typing latex for app users ??? It is still big problem for me !!

We will be looking into making it easier for everyone to type in latex. That will make it easier for people to submit problems. :)
