I have worked out my knowledge on pre-calculus and i want to formally begin learning the subject. I would be gratified if i could get some help on this matter.
i would like a book that doesn't just try to strengthen problem solving skills, but also tries to make the user understand the subject. a book with a fair number of illustrations(graphs.. etc.) would be nice. obviously i would like the book to be user friendly as i want to possess it as a self learner would.
i am a beginner,so i wouldn't want anything too rigorous right now and. I would like to keep away from or other books of the sort as of now
any suggestions? :D i would be truly indebted

Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

Even I don't know much of Calculus, though I'm keen at learning the subject this year. As far as I've heard, RD Sharma XI and XII is a good place for theory. Haven't tried it myself though. Maybe @Parth Lohomi may suggest you something, he's a level 5.

Thanks I would suggest books such as integral and differential calculus by Shanti Narayan and for basics just go through questions of "problems in calculus in one variable by I.A Maron" , N. piskonovs integral and differential calculus. THESE WILL BE SUFFICIENT
Best book Spivak Calculus
Thomas and Finney calculus it can be downloaded free from gen.lib.rus.ec this book starts from basic and very good for self learner thank you
