Books for Mathematics

Hello all!

Can someone here recommend me a few books to begin with Olympiad level Maths? I know that I am ineligible to participate in any of the Olympiads now but I like learning more about the subject. Being a member of this place for quite some time, I have seen some really smart people. I am curious as to what books did they begin with? Going to an instructor is not an option for me as there is none in my city. Please do not recommend any online learning resource.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Comments

For Olympiad Math, one of the best authors in the domain is Titu Andreescu. Mr.Andreescu has written many books and has covered a wide ( I mean it) variety of subjects. He has separate books on Algebra, Number Theory, Equality, Real Analysis, Complex Numbers and what not.....Google it and see for your yourself.

Unfortunately, the AOPS books are not available in my country. Any other alternative resources?

I am not a complete beginner, its difficult to explain my situation according to Olympiad standards. But I am a complete dumb in Number theory so I guess its best to start with basics.

@Taehyung Kim – I think I should rather brush up my Geometry skills instead of spending time on something which is completely new to me. Which book would you recommend me for Geometry? Should I start with Titu's Trigonometry Problem book?

Start with "Challeneges and thrills of Pre college Mathematics" Good book to start with. :)

Not sure what level you're at, but I find The Art and Craft of Problem Solving seems to be a pretty popular choice if you're not yet ready for Engel.
