Many people these days have android phones. I was wondering would it be possible for Brilliant to create an Android app that would be just like the website? People could answer questions on the go. This would be very useful as I imagine many people, when bored, turn to their phones; this would be a great opportunity to answer a few more math or physics questions!

This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

Alan,
We think this is a good idea as well. We have been looking into putting development time into it. I cannot offer you an estimate of how soon it will be implemented or even if it will. It is under consideration though:)

An iPhone app would be really great too!
when i go to college in the transportation, i have no internet access, so if the app can offer offline questions and i can answer and then when i connect my tablet to the internet it uploads the results that will be awesome, i have lots of free time in transportation and i spend most of the time solving some mental puzzles, but math is more powerful that that so i always wish if i could have brilliant with me
Does anyone know how to code or program for Android or IOS? I've taken a course on computer programming and I'm really interested in how apps work. It would be nice if we (people doing the problems) could come up with at least an archetype of the app. :D
Alan! It has been over a year, but the Android App has arrived :)
Download it at the google play store here
