Hi Guys!

Welcome to the first ever Electricity and Magnetism contest on Brilliant!

The target of the contest shall be to improve the standards of problem solving in Electromagnetism on Brilliant. There are no constraints on joining this contest, anybody can join. The contest will commence on June 6th 2016 and end on June 11th 2016, hope to have an electrifying week ahead!

I'll release the contest note on June 6th, and the results shall be declared on a separate note on 13th June, giving some special titles to contestants (currently a secret).

Post any queries about this contest as comments to this note.

  Easy Math Editor

This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

When posting on Brilliant:

  • Use the emojis to react to an explanation, whether you're congratulating a job well done , or just really confused .
  • Ask specific questions about the challenge or the steps in somebody's explanation. Well-posed questions can add a lot to the discussion, but posting "I don't understand!" doesn't help anyone.
  • Try to contribute something new to the discussion, whether it is an extension, generalization or other idea related to the challenge.
  • Stay on topic — we're all here to learn more about math and science, not to hear about your favorite get-rich-quick scheme or current world events.

I'll post a note with a question. One who solves that problem shall post the next question. One who solves the latter will post the further question, and so on.

Have you posted that problem yet? I mean where would you? Seperately?

@Aditya Narayan Sharma No. As I stated, I'll put the problem on a separate note on 6th June.

Swapnil Das - 5 years ago

What are the scope of the questions that might be asked? That is, are you looking for problems where the level of physics goes beyond introductory electricity and magnetism orrrrrrr.........?

Abhijeet Vats - 5 years ago

The scope of the problems is of JEE and NSEP level.

Swapnil Das - 5 years ago

Wait so when are these problems coming up haha
