Hi, guys
Long time no see! (Seriously...)
So I've decided to host a new BRILLIAthon.
But... I need participants and (new) co-hosts!
The reason why I need co-hosts is because I am doing Year , so I am going to be on BRILLIANT even less.
So I request the following to step up (I will be doing a DBS check on your profile, Frisk, if you come up!):
David Vreken
Frisk Dreemurr
Siddharth Chakravarty
Criteria for co-host:
You must be on BRILLIANT from am until pm.
You must create one question for me to review.
You must set the competition dates.
As for participants, maximum is 6 as I can't take the burden of more than that.
After the st problem, lowest will be removed
After the rd problem, last and second-to-last will be removed.
Same points as last BRILLIAthon (with a twist...):
LaTEX - pts
Intelligible Solutions - pts
Algorithmic Structure - pts
Pictures/Animations - pts (optional)
Dates are to be chosen by the co-host as I am focusing on my studies.
Deadlines:
Participants: Saturday th November, pm
Co-Host: Sunday th November, pm
Good luck and enjoy!
P.S. Extra marks added to Algorithmic Structure as I need to see every single step (even if it's minor...)
Also, winner becomes co-host for next one! (Includes this one as well (David Vreken), but Siddharth Chakravarty accepted as well to fill the number of co-hosts)

This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

Sorry, I'm back teaching classes so I don't think I will have time to participate. Thanks for thinking about me, though!

You don't need to participate - the winner of the BRILLIAthon is the co-host for the next one!
@Siddharth Chakravarty
Umm, I am okay to co-host, even I don't have much time to write solutions, I could make questions and arrange some time for this.

You need to arrange the dates and post one question for me to review.

Could you tell me how hard should the question be, or based on what topics?

Frisk is the first participant!
Anybody else participating?

No - the co-hosts needs to be around during these hours!
You have until 5:30pm to publish solutions, because I'm around then from 3:30pm till 5:30pm!
Update: All the solutions to the problems must be posted before 5:30pm (during the dates the co-hosts set...)

What about this idea? Give eighteen hours for early posting, as 5 points
After that time duration, give 0 points for time
Max. points obtainable for early submission is 5 points, and duration is eighteen hours
Therefore, no one can complain for the difference of time zones :)

Great idea!

What you expect me to do lol, become inhuman? Even Frisk has feelings, you know...?
In fact, I'd rather not talk about Frisk, you may know why

Common sensical idea. Sleep and Brilliant get their times. I'm in if there's place for another contestant @Yajat Shamji :)

@Yajat Shamji, what is the difference between submission and posting. They are the same, right...?
lmao
@Half pass3 is our second contestant!
@Percy Jackson is our third contestant!

Nice, but isn't Submission and Posting time the same?
You can call it whatever you want - it's 5:00pm.
I meant 5:30pm.
Update: As of now, problem submission is 5:30pm regardless of time zones!

Ok, I can live with that. Thx

No problem!
Also, check the UKMT Specials note - I've made an important update regarding time of solutions etc.
Guys, since nothing's happening, I'll post the first BRILLIAthon 2 problem!

Great, I am quite interested. When would you post it?
