Hello Guys!
It has been half of a year since I have been a Brilliantian, and I could not resist asking for help in this section.
I want to become a Theoretical Physicist. Unlike others, who want make it sooner to get a job, I want to study, study upto atleast I get a PhD or Dean in my Subject. I just do love Mathematics and Physics and I wanna specialize in string theory. So, the main question arises, What should I do now?
I am just getting mad, I just want myself to solve harder problems!
Can anyone please advise me what path shall I pursue? Is there some competition that will provide me a reserved seat of Math and Physics research degrees?
Please do comment below
Thanking,

This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

Have you heard of this book The Trouble With Physics? It is non-mathematical but talks about a wide variety of frontier physics, and whether or not string theory is the most productive approach. If you're thinking about going into physics, it's a great book to read for an idea of the wide range of research that you might not hear as much about because of how sexy strings are.

My top advice to get started on your way to becoming a physics genie would be to read Kleppner and Kolenkow, learn calculus, and of course, keep challenging yourself on Brilliant. If you need advice as you work your way through the book, feel free to ask.
