I am deciding to make a new thread of science problems, which require word problems. In order to answer these questions, you need to write a link which contain these answers, just so everyone can have a go at answering these questions. In the end, whoever has answered the mot questions correctly wins. I shall be writing a problem everyday, starting from tomorrow, 25th December.
Here is an example problem:
LED Lights
A light-emitting diode (LED) is a small solid state device that gives off light when a current passes through it. It is commonly used in clocks to give off a clear red, or sometimes green, digital display.
There is a type of LED in the market that glows red when current flows through it one way, and green when the current flows the other way. An alternating current flows rapidly one way and then the other. What would this LED look like if it were connected to an alternating source?
Easy Math Editor
This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

Comments
Due to persistence of vision we would see the red and green lights simultaneously; thereby interpreting it as yellow light. picture

Yep, although could you actually post it on a different link so other people won't read. It gives everyone a go.

How do I do this?

In the meanwhile, I suggest that if you have the answer, you create a Note on Brilliant with your solution, and then link to the note from the comments. We'll be making this better soon, but I hope this provides a workaround so that people can enjoy Sharky's posts until then!
That said, I don't necessarily think it's bad to discuss the solution in the comments, so my hope would be that the rules for these science puzzles can become more flexible. Notes are predominantly meant to be a medium where users talk about different approaches and ideas, not end a conversation by posting the "right" answer.
It seems a bit confusing for us to write it in a different link... How do we submit it? Where do we write it? If only there was a "hide" BBCode...
