Is a chicken egg an egg with a chicken inside it or an egg laid by a chicken?

Write a comment or ask a question... Neither of the given options r correct. This is because the chick. egg contains a fertilised egg cell inside it which at a later stage develops into a chick to hatch out of the shell, provided that the conditions r favourable.

A chicken egg is an egg that (assuming it matures without any biological problems) will develop into a chicken.

In related news, the egg came before the chicken because dinosaur eggs existed long before chickens evolved.
