Climate change: Let's stop this now on to the future.

Where to Start? Let start with a simple question which everyone asks themselves about climate change: What can we do to stop climate change? What year did we start putting Co2 in the atmosphere? and most of all: Who is responsible for Climate change? In my opinion, I think the Rich Country is responsible because they say that their life is lifestyle while the one that isn’t rich they say it about survival for them. Now the question is what do we do now? The cause of these problems are trapped heat, Also, it is because of Co2, Methane and Nitrous oxide. Just combining all of these gas we are putting 51 Billion tons of Greenhouse gases up in the atmosphere. Here is some stuff we can do. We can be more efficient and this shows us how we use energy and efficiently is less energy, but the more efficiently can be bad. For example, if we use the same stuff over and over again, it can use lots of energy. Like planes, there wasn’t almost used because of high cost, but when the price went down more and more people started to ride on them, so less efficiently doesn’t mean less energy, it might have the opposite effect, but the thing is that the more you optimize for efficiency the harder it gets to get more efficient and it is expensive. What can we do is also this: Instead of using fossil fuel plants we can make nuclear power plants online longer, we can also cut subsidies to the fossil fuel industry and funnel them to renewable. We can rise up the price of carbon emissions harshly, also we need innovation. Without new technology, it will be impossible to make a better place with zero co2 emission words. So with efficiency and innovation, we can’t rely on much so we need to take action. The fewer fossil fuels we burn the more time innovation can catch up with us. In the future, we may stop burning fossil fuels. The more low-carbon energy structures we build today, the more we can compensate for economic growth and the people that will be born in the future. Remember people, the more population, the more co2 there is. Solving climate change is very complicated, we have to tell this to billions of people, and the people who are using fossil fuels right now.

This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

When posting on Brilliant:

  • Use the emojis to react to an explanation, whether you're congratulating a job well done , or just really confused .
  • Ask specific questions about the challenge or the steps in somebody's explanation. Well-posed questions can add a lot to the discussion, but posting "I don't understand!" doesn't help anyone.
  • Try to contribute something new to the discussion, whether it is an extension, generalization or other idea related to the challenge.
  • Stay on topic — we're all here to learn more about math and science, not to hear about your favorite get-rich-quick scheme or current world events.

@David Stiff ;-; I don't like climate change, I hate it a lot, but I love to teach it.
