college dilemma

Finally JEE MAINS and boards results are out and college admission procedure has been started. I got 170 in jee mains and 90.33% in PCM (I'm in top 99 percentile in Maharashtra board). The question is can I get elite colleges like COEP and VNIT in this marks? I want computer science branch and I'm from open category. Also please suggest some good colleges I can get.

This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

When posting on Brilliant:

  • Use the emojis to react to an explanation, whether you're congratulating a job well done , or just really confused .
  • Ask specific questions about the challenge or the steps in somebody's explanation. Well-posed questions can add a lot to the discussion, but posting "I don't understand!" doesn't help anyone.
  • Try to contribute something new to the discussion, whether it is an extension, generalization or other idea related to the challenge.
  • Stay on topic — we're all here to learn more about math and science, not to hear about your favorite get-rich-quick scheme or current world events.

IIT Mumbai hard to get there but it's heaven

Dude talk practical. My jee advanced was a disaster. I just need some top class govt. colleges through MAINS!

I think that with your grades, you can get into pretty much any college you want to. I agree with the previous poster that IIT Mumbai is heaven for computer science but in my opinion, it is not that crazy hard to get in. Judging from the statistics, they accept more people each year, and your grades are just enough to enroll. COEP and VNIT might be a bit harder but for you, still doable

There are always some learning-related dilemmas in college and it is sometimes very difficult to solve them. But you can always prevent them from reading http://www.educationviews.org/5-problems-students-face-while-studying/ this will help you greatly simplify and learn "5 problems students face while studying".
